Here are some pictures of my firebird.
So I had a dead laptop, and the lcd was cracked. I had ripped all the good parts out even though it was a p1 133. I was about to throw the rest out and saw the back light inverter, and the backlight. I had an Idea. I already made 3 digial picture frames(old news). but I thought why not make a back light picture of something cool like the moon or fire, or sun setting. The LCD was a 15″ and I bought an oversized deep 8×10 picture frame to fit it over it. Then I goggled in Google images for high res picture of the moon. I then printed them with a laser printer on an overhead transparency. The inverter I has was very easy to hook up it had power and enable, and a brightness. The enable was pulled high to power the brightness was on full when pulled to ground. here are the pictures of the project. that took less then an evening to finish. I guess I am just a pack rat!
